There are  two arms of TouchDown Biomarketing: 

TouchDown Biomarketing Ltd., the UK-based business, focuses on providing commercial incubator and consultancy services, phases 1-3 in TouchDown's 5-phase approach of commercialisation, for technology-focused companies that intend to develop a presence in the European market. Particular emphasis is placed on establishing visibility for innovative technologies with early adopters and key opinion leaders where we play an active role in establishing, supporting and managing collaborations to develop and validate technologies for applications with wider commercial potential. These activities provide marketing strategy input for our clients, a basis for commercially-relevant product refinement as well as a beachhead for the wider sales launch for new products.

 

TouchDown Biomarketing bv, the Netherlands-based business, focuses on phases 3-5 in TouchDown's 5-phase approach of commercialisation: facilitation and provision of the complete infrastructure and back-office services that are necessary to take products from outside Europe, complete the sales process and deliver products to life science researchers across the European region. This encompasses customs clearance, highly specialised inventory management and shipping of temperature-sensitive products, multi-lingual customer services for issuing quotations, invoicing as well as providing front-line technical support. This works particularly well as part of a "hybrid" channel to market, in supporting field-based sales-focused activities of TouchDown's clients, as well as for those products that lend themselves to selling through electronic marketing.

 

Close associations with local government enterprise support networks in the Netherlands and the UK, as well as with personnel recruitment firms, adds further scope to support expansion of our clients' businesses in Europe. Current and past clients include companies from North America, Korea, New Zealand and even some from within Europe! This "lean" approach to new market development has been instrumental in establishing several, now recognised, life-science "brands" in Europe.
