Dr. Alan Chan, Technology Program Manager: In-vitro Assays & Imaging
Dr. Alan Chan joined TouchDown’s team in May 2007. Alan has extensive experience within the Life Science industry as well as diagnostics. Alan previously worked for PamGene as VP Scientific Applications & Sales, and also worked for Organon, Pharmacia and Life Technologies. Alan currently also holds a part-time position as CEO of Percuros. Percuros is a drug discovery and development company involved with bone diseases-related therapeutics discovery and development. Alan is responsible for supporting TouchDown’s Molecular Imaging and in-vitro assay related clients.
Dr. Steve Cleverley, Program Director
Dr. Steve Cleverley MBA has over 8 years experience in marketing, sales and support within the biotechnology sector, and worked previously at the Life Sciences consultancy, Wood Mackenzie as Head of Marketing, and Ciphergen Biosystems as European Customer Success Manager. Steve holds a PhD from Imperial Cancer Research, London, UK and an MBA with emphasis on innovation and internationalisation from Henley Management College. Steve is responsible for supporting and expanding TouchDown’s clients working in the Proteomics space.
Mr. Jan Gietema, Customer Support Manager
Dr. Jan Gietema, Business Development and Business partner, has set up and managed almost 10 years the Customer and Technical Services departments for Invitrogen in Europe. Jan is specialised in building and managing customer databases. Jan brings to TouchDown Biomarketing a whealth of experience in serving and training customers, distributors and sales teams as well as access to an extensive molecular biology database and customer relationship management tools. Jan’s main responsibility is managing TouchDown’s mailinglist and associated actions as well as back-office support for several of TouchDown’s clients.
Mr. Richard Curtis, Instrument Support Manager
Richard Curtis worked as a European Service Engineer for Ciphergen Biosystems and BioRad for over 6 years before joining TouchDown in January 2009. In this role, Richard was responsible for installation, maintenance and servicing of time-of-flight mass spectrometers for which there was 200+ install base in 8 different countries.
Mr. Mark Rogers, Technical Sales Representative Ireland
Mark Rogers joined TouchDown as Technical Sales Representative for TouchDown BioInnovation in July 2009. Mark has a M. Sc. Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Ghent, Belgium and has worked in research in different institutes and countries for over 5 years. Mark joins us from Alcimed Biotechnology, Paris, France where he worked as Marketing and Strategy consultant. Mark is responsible for supporting and expanding TouchDown’s clients working in Ireland.
