SAN CARLOS, Calif. – February 7, 2006 – NuGEN Technologies, Inc., a privately held company that develops and commercializes the new standard in nucleic acid amplification and labeling systems, today announced that it has added two new distributors in Australia and Canada, and has doubled the size of its European-based sales force and technical support team. Integrated Sciences, NuGEN’s new Australian distributor, was established in 1983, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Integrated Sciences supplies a broad range of products to cell and molecular biologists in Australia’s diagnostics and life science markets. MJS BioLynx Inc., NuGEN’s new Canadian distributor, based in Brockville, Ontario, has extensive distribution expertise and specializes in providing high quality products for protein chemistry, immunology, molecular biology and microbiology and other life science disciplines.
“We are very pleased to partner with NuGEN to bring this innovative technology to Australian researchers. Integrated Sciences is now in its 22nd year and we feel it is extremely important to continue to work with companies like NuGEN that provide novel solutions for researchers in the life science market,” said Margie O'Mara, manager of the Life Sciences Division of Integrated Sciences. “NuGEN's products provide a much needed capability in limited sample preparation for both QPCR and microarray applications.”
“MJS BioLynx is very excited to have the opportunity to represent NuGEN products in Canada. Offering Canadian researchers quality products and technical support is what we do best.” said Cherin McKend, president of MJS BioLynx. “Offering NuGEN products to our customers is just another example of this commitment.”
In addition to the new distributors, NuGEN’s office in the Netherlands has announced plans to double the size of its sales presence in Europe due to increased demand. These new additions to NuGEN’s existing network of distributors in Israel and Asia give NuGEN worldwide distribution capability for the company’s Ovation™ family of products for use with microarray and real-time quantitative PCR platforms.
"Adding Integrated Sciences and MJS BioLynx to our distribution program strengthens our worldwide coverage and validates our commitment to enable researchers throughout the world,” said Dr. Sue Pandey, vice president of commercial operations for NuGEN. “Leveraging our own growth through our distributors’ organizations represents an exciting opportunity for us, allowing new customers to take advantage of NuGEN’s RNA Amplification Systems for studying small, difficult samples”
